Mark Kostabi is one of the most prolific icons to emerge from New York’s legendary 1980’s East Village art scene. Kostabi is a contemporary of Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat who invented a unique art style that has captivated global audiences.  Now showing at the new Park West Museum and Gallery in SoHo – 35 original Kostabi works on display, along with dozens of masterpieces by Picasso, Miró and Rembrandt located at 411 West Broadway. Mark Kostabi’s exhibit is in the downstairs galleries.

Kostabi’s universal, faceless figures incorporate surreal worlds of colors and contrasts. Worlds where his subjects interact with themes of love, isolation, technology, and modern anxieties.

Mark Kostabi is also an accomplished jazz pianist, composer and recording artist. “Art inspires music and music inspires art.”  Mark Kostabi
